Survivor Security is a first-to-die whole life insurance plan designed to replace lost Social Security and/or pension income. Upon the death of a spouse, Social Security payments to the surviving spouse can be permanently reduced by 1/3 or more of the total they received together. This policy is not available in all states.
Because Social Security is such an important part of every couple's retirement plans, we have created a special policy to help replace the portion of Social Security income that is lost upon the death of the first spouse.
